The Boat That Carried Dreams

The Boat That Carried Dreams

When Ella climbed into her warm bed and softly closed her heavy eyes at night, she always loved to imagine a beautiful, tiny wooden boat waiting patiently for her right on the shore of a completely calm, silver river.

The wonderful boat had a very soft velvet cushion perfectly inside and a magical sail perfectly woven completely out of starlight. When Ella climbed happily in, she realized she didn’t even need heavy wooden oars.

She only had to think of a truly happy thought—like playing with a fluffy new puppy or eating the absolute sweetest summer strawberries—and the magical boat would magically glide gently forward.

As the little boat floated incredibly slowly down the quiet river, the tiny ripples in the water murmured incredibly softly against the wood. The cool night air smelled deeply of soothing lavender and sweet vanilla.

With every gentle sway of the floating boat, Ella felt her tired body getting much heavier and far warmer. Her breathing slowed down dramatically.

By the time the little boat finally drifted all the way down the river and safely reached the endless Sea of Dreams, Ella was exactly where she needed to be. She was already perfectly fast asleep, wrapped safely in a giant, beautiful blanket of stars.

Moral of the Story: Gentle, happy thoughts directly lead to incredibly gentle, deep rest. Filling your sleepy mind with nice ideas helps you dream peacefully.
